1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WatchRoom (orivellixengine.in). By creating an account, launching a room, or connecting via WebSocket to our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility & Age Restriction (18+)
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or host a watch party on this platform. If you are under 18, you are not authorized to register an account. By registering, you affirmatively represent and warrant that you are an adult under the laws of your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable Use & Content Guidelines
WatchRoom provides synchronization software. You agree NOT to:
- Use the platform to stream, distribute, or link to unlawful, infringing, sexually explicit, abusive, or defamatory content.
- Transmit spam, malware, or attempt automated flood attacks (DoS) against our WebSocket servers or database.
- Circumvent or tamper with room host playback locks, rate limits, or session authentication cookies.
- Impersonate other users or transmit deceptive client identifiers.
4. Intellectual Property & Video Streams
WatchRoom does not claim ownership of video streams or chat content shared by participants. Default demo video streams provided in staging are royalty-free creative works used solely for benchmarking synchronization accuracy. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they possess lawful viewing rights to any third-party media synced across parties.
5. Service Availability & Staging Disclaimer
WatchRoom is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. During the staging rollout phase, scheduled maintenance, server restarts, or transient network desynchronization may occur. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at our discretion.
6. Limitation of Liability & Dispute Resolution
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law (including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and DPDP Act, 2023), WatchRoom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
